The Challenge

Construex's sales pipeline lacked the visibility needed to make quick and informed decisions. Their data was stored on multiple platforms, and the manual process of compiling and analyzing this information was slow and error-prone. The company needed a more efficient way to:

  • Consolidate data from disparate sources for real-time analysis.
  • Improve the accuracy and efficiency of sales reports.
  • Enable more informed decision-making for sales leaders and agents.
Our Approach

Semantiks began the project with a discovery phase that included an Architecture Workshop with Construex to fully understand its sales process, data sources and main challenges. Through this workshop, we identified the need for a solution that would integrate data from Aircall and HubSpot, while simplifying the data structure to facilitate analysis.

The proposed solution focused on taking advantage of Google Cloud's BigQuery for data storage and Looker for creating interactive dashboards. We opted for this strategy because of its scalability, ease of use, and ability to provide quick insights to stakeholders. With Fivetran as a managed service for data extraction, we ensure a smooth integration process without the need to develop custom pipelines.

The Solution

The implemented solution integrated data from Construex's two key platforms—Aircall and Hubspot—into BigQuery, allowing for centralized storage and simplified access. The main components included:

  • Data Integration: Fivetran was used to extract and load data from Aircall and HubSpot into BigQuery, automating the process and reducing manual intervention.
  • Data Transformation: Views were applied in BigQuery to simplify complex tables and reduce the size of the schema, ensuring that only relevant data was available for analysis.
  • Boards in Looker: Two key boards were developed in Looker:some text
    • Un Sales Funnel Dashboard which provides a comprehensive view of the progress of the agreements.
    • Un Sales Activity Dashboard to monitor agents' performance and activities.

This approach allowed Construex to track key metrics such as funnel stages, sales activities and agent performance, facilitating decisions based on data more quickly and accurately.

The Results

The solution delivered immediate and measurable results for Construex:

  • Better Sales Visibility: They now have a real-time view of their sales pipeline, allowing them to identify and address bottlenecks more quickly.
  • Higher Data Accuracy: The integration of Aircall and HubSpot data into BigQuery eliminated manual errors, improving the accuracy of sales reports.
  • Faster Decisions: With dashboards in Looker that provide key insights at a glance, Construex sales leaders can make more informed and faster decisions, improving overall sales efficiency.
Looking Ahead

Looking ahead, Construex plans to further refine its sales data pipeline and expand the use of Looker for advanced reporting. Semantiks will continue to support Construex with improvements such as:

  • Data Cleaning and Refinement: To improve the quality and accuracy of sales metrics.
  • Historical Data Pipeline: To track changes in the status of agreements over time, allowing for trend analysis.
  • Real-Time Insights and Alerts: Using Looker's alert features to notify sales teams of deals that require immediate attention.
